Are you curious where the police transmitter is, where a boat was calling from, where is that mysterious repeater jammer or maybe you just would like to join the latest radio craze - "foxhunting"? TheFoxhound connects to any radio, through the speaker jack and antenna connector and will allow you to easily zero in on the exact direction of an unknown transmitter, be it aircraft, two-way radio, ham or even TV. This direction finder uses a pair of telescopic whip antennas which are manually turned until the sensitive meter indicates the lowest reading. This direction finder uses the latest technology for trouble-free, solid operation. The antennas are alternately switched on and off using PIN diodes. The outputs are then passed thru a high-Q audio filter and synchronously detected for phase shift. A pair of LEDs tell you in which direction you should rotate the antennas- to the right or left.
